The two paper types are similar, but not identical. The cream paper is extremely smooth, whereas the white paper has a small amount of tooth, but is still quite smooth. Both papers work best with mediums that aren't too wet, like markers and coloured pencil, but can also be used with various types of paint. If the paper gets too wet, it will buckle. Coloured pencil works slightly better on the white paper thanks to the tooth, and alcohol-based markers work slightly better on the cream paper since it's easier to get flat, solid colour.
